Africa Audio Visual Awards (TAVA), … Perfect Pictures, Perfect Sounds

Just like the name implies, Africa Audio-Visual Awards (a.k.a. ‘TAVA’ Awards) is an annual event created to honour outstanding indigenious films, music video, television productions, commercials and general programmes as well as the most creative performers, outstanding television houses and audio-visual equipment.

Without equivocation, NOLLYWOOD films in Africa, have come to stay, what with the global interest the industry has generated in the last decade of its existence. This industry has helped to curb brain drain through creating thousands of jobs for Nigeria and Africa’s teaming population of unemployment.

That African Films have continued to hold their own, despite criticisms; in the fiercely competitive global audio-visual market is a further testimony to the quality and uniqueness of Africa’s culture and her brand of storylines.
