In 1992, actor and producer, Okechukwu Ogunjiofor approached Chief Kenneth Nnebue with a proposal to invest in the production of the first ever Nigerian home video film to be shot on standard S-VHS format.In September that year, ”LIVING IN BONDAGE 1” Africa’s first professionally produced home video was made in partnership with NEK Video Links Ltd. This heralded a Continental revolution and the present Nigerian home video Industry (NOLLYWOOD) was born.
Since then, superlatives alone can aptly describe the astronomical growth which the indigenous home video industry has continued to experience. One man began it all: Okechukwu Ogunjiofor.
